There are several kinds of stone replacement and they include;
Natural stone replacement.
This is the most common method of stone repair. It entails the removal of defective stones and replacing them with new units that are compatible with the existing ones.
Stone indenting
This is also called piecing in. This is a stone repair method which is incorporated whenever it is discovered that taking out whole units of stone would affect the building’s stability. The deteriorated part of the stone is usually taken out and replaced with another natural stone which is carved to fit that space perfectly.
